Today is a significant day for the community of the National Aviation University - twenty years since our university had received one of the most honorable state awards - received the status of National!

Being a national institution of higher education is not only a privilege but also a high responsibility.  This means meeting the criteria of patriotism, devotion to one's country and one's people.  It is to work tirelessly, to train highly qualified personnel for the society, to bring up the students in fidelity to Ukraine, readiness to increase its successes and glory.  To be national is to develop the intellectual potential of the nation, to realize the idea of ​​national revival of Ukraine.

During this time, the ICAO Institute has been established at NAU, which cooperates with the International Civil Aviation Organization in the field of training and retraining of aviation specialists.  The state investment project "International Pilot Training Center of the National Aviation University" is being implemented.  Cooperation with our international partners is developing - research projects are being implemented in the joint Chinese-Ukrainian Institute of Aerospace Technology (CUAT), dual education with universities in Europe and the world is being introduced.  Our scientists are entrusted with the implementation of state orders, and the young generation of scientists annually receives nominal scholarships from the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Our gifted students are the winners of all-Ukrainian competitions and scholarship holders of Ukrainian and international foundations.  This is the result of our joint work!  After all, the  National Aviation University is each of us and we are the only ones who want to make our university even better!

I want to wish the university community to be worthy of high knowledge of the national university, to develop its educational and scientific potential, to multiply the traditions of a leading educational institution, to rise the steps of Ukrainian and international rankings.

Let the source of your educational and scientific ideas not languish, let it be cozy in the walls of the Alma Mater.
