Talks with F AIR Flight School Representatives

NAU welcomed for a visit representatives of the Czech-based F AIR Pilot School: branch manager Jiri Prochazka, marketing manager Nikola Chakimi, and F AIR representatives in Ukraine Volodymyr and Tatiana Lobas.

The negotiations were held in the framework of the implementation of a Cooperation Agreement signed in November 2019 on the joint training of pilots according to the standards of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Rector Volodymyr Isaienko noted that the meeting was attended by specialists with the Aerospace Faculty, Faculty of Aeronautics, Electronics and Telecommunications, and NAU Training Center, who would be implementing the joint project with their Czech counterparts.

Jiri Prochazka noted that, as a graduate of the Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers, he is very interested in working with his Alma Mater. "Our company wants to give your students the best training, after which they will be able to be immediately employed by leading air carriers – not only in Ukraine but also in Europe." Representatives of the Czech pilot school presented a training program for NAU students to obtain an EASA CPL license.

The parties discussed the organizational issues of the flight training for NAU students in the Czech pilot school; involvement of Ukrainian instructors in teaching students at the Czech school; and holding joint conferences with the participation of air carriers operating in Ukraine.

F AIR representatives visited the Aerospace Faculty's aeronautics and flight safety department where they spoke with staff and students seeking to become pilots, told them about the school, and answered questions.
