NAU Training Center opens doors

Today, the ceremony was held for opening the NAU Training Center, created within the framework of the state investment project "International Pilot Training Center of National Aviation University".

Among the attendees were Hero of Ukraine, Cavalier of the Order of the Golden Star First Class, Test Pilot Oleksandr Halunenko, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleh Yushchenko, Head of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Bilchuk, Director of the Air Transport Unit at Antonov SE Mykhailo Kharchenko, members of NAU Supervisory Board, representatives of SE UkSATSE, National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Zhukovsky National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute", and the official delegation of Taizhou University (PRC).

Opening the Center, Rector Volodymyr Isaienko said that "the most modern Training Center and the International NAU Pilot Training Center in general will become a competitive training hub for pilots and fully meet the demand for highly qualified pilots on the part of Ukrainian air carriers and partially those from the EU, Africa, and Middle East." "Meanwhile, National Aviation University will confirm its status as a high-tech innovative aviation educational facility recognized in the European and global research and education arena," the rector said.

Serhiy Ishchenko, head of the aerodynamics and flight safety department, presented the French aviation simulator ALX. He noted that the product by France's ALSIM is the most modern model, manufactured in 2018, designed to students-pilots for Cessna, Tecnam, and Boeing class aircraft.

Hero of Ukraine, test pilot Oleksandr Halunenko, was the first one to test-try the simulator.
